Robert Morris defines an international graduate student as any student who is a non-US citizen or a non-permanent resident of the US.

International students seeking admission to a graduate program must submit the following:

• Bachelor's degree equivalent to a bachelor's degree from a U.S. institution
   
• A completed graduate application for admission.
   
• Official certified copies of transcripts from all post-secondary schools attended. Transcripts should bear the official school seal and the signature of the person issuing the transcript. Students should also submit official certified copies of any post-secondary school diplomas and degrees earned. These transcripts must have grades posted and must be translated into English.
   
• Official scores from the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) test. Minimum score required is a total 550 on the written exam or a total 213 on the computer based TOEFL exam. Students who have earned a degree from an English speaking college or university, or whose native language is English, are not required to submit a TOEFL score. Consideration to waive the TOEFL can also be given to students who have successfully completed an ESL (English as a Second Language) program or college level course work in English Composition One and Two (or equivalents).
   
• A completed financial affidavit of support (supplied by RMU) which verifies that the student or the student¿s family/sponsor possesses all of the necessary funds for them to complete the first year of study in their desired graduate degree. (this includes funds to cover all living expenses and indirect costs from the University). Along with this affidavit, students must supply notarized bank statements and other documents that indicate the exact dollar amounts (in US dollars) that are available to them.
   
• Two current letters of recommendation.
   
• Official standardized test scores (if required) for the program of their choice (GRE, GMAT, MAT) that are no older than five years. Note that all programs require a different exam and a different minimum score. Students should consult the graduate enrollment office for the test and score requirement for admission to their chosen program.

For admission to a graduate degree program, students are also required to meet all GPA and other requirements in place for their desired program. Students should contact the graduate enrollment office to inquire about the specific entrance requirements for their program of study.
