Undergraduate Pass/Fail Option Policy

Students who have earned a minimum of 75 credits and a cumulative Q.P.A. of 2.33 are permitted to complete up to nine credits of coursework as Open or Non-Business Electives on a pass/fail basis. The following criteria are to be met:

  1. This decision to elect the pass/fail option cannot be changed once classes begin.
  2. Courses normally graded pass/no pass (P/N) do not affect the student's option to elect a maximum of nine credits of pass/fail courses toward degree requirements.
  3. "Pass" in a course is defined as satisfactory attainment (Equal to "C" or better) and will apply toward meeting total program requirements. It is not used in determining the QPA. "Fail" in a course is defined as unsatisfactory attainment (Equal to a "D" or "F" grade). "Fail" grades are used in determining the QPA and are computed as an "F" grade.

Undergraduate Pass/Fail Option Procedure

The intention to take a course pass/fail must be declared prior to the beginning of classes.
