Robert Morris University will close its Pittsburgh Center and the Bayer Center for Nonprofit Management
starting Wednesday, Sept. 23, through Sunday, Sept. 27, because of concerns over traffic stemming from the G-20 Summit that week in downtown Pittsburgh.
The Pittsburgh Center is located at 600 Fifth Ave. and includes classrooms for the university’s Media Arts, MBA and continuing education programs. It also houses the Veterans Business Outreach Center. The Bayer Center for Nonprofit Management is located in the Regional Enterprise Tower on Sixth Avenue.
Faculty who teach courses in the Pittsburgh Center will notify students of alternative teaching arrangements during the closing.
The majority of RMU students take courses at the university’s Moon Township campus, which also houses 1,200 resident students. That campus will remain open during the summit.
