Student Advisory Council

The Student Advisory Council is composed of interested honors students who want to play a leadership role in the honors program. It’s a great way to contributed to shaping what extracurricular opportunities will be open to all honors students throughout an academic year, as well as have input on the shape of the program.

The Student Advisory Council offers recommendations and suggestions to the UHP Director and the Honors Program Committee concerning the policies, regulations, curriculum and activities of the Honors Program. These students recommend possible service-oriented projects and cultural events in which Patriot Scholars could take part, and identifies faculty to give lectures on topical subjects. Attendance for all service projects, cultural events and faculty lectures are voluntary.

There are benefits to being involved! For instance, Honors Travel Fellowships are awarded through a competitive process which takes into account participation in the Student Advisory Committee and other University Honors Programs activities.
