Really Simple Syndication (RSS)

RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication." It's a format for distributing and gathering content from websites including newspapers, magazines, blogs and institutions like RMU that regularly update their online content.

RSS feeds allow you to be notified when content has been updated without having to constantly check the website. To use RSS feeds, you need a news reader, which are easy to use and available for free from Google and Yahoo, among others.

The following RSS feeds are available through the RMU News and Events page:

News: News RSS

Press releases and web stories, such as those found on the home page

Events: Events RSS

Campus events that are posted online through rmu.edu

Athletics: Athletics RSS RMU Colonial news and events posted on www.rmucolonials.com

Additional RSS feeds will be available in the near future.

To learn more about RSS Feeds, please visit: http://news.yahoo.com/rss

Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 (IE6) and older does not have built-in support for RSS feeds. You will need to find and install an external feed reader, or upgrade to Internet Explorer 7, in order to use RSS feeds.

Click here to install a feed reader.
Click here to upgrade to IE 7.0.
