Moon Township, Pa – Robert Morris University (RMU) will host the Third Annual Science Bowl Contest for high school students on Saturday, Dec. 6 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. in Massey Hall at RMU's Moon Township campus.
The contest will consist of high school students (3 at a time) competing against one another in a "Jeopardy"-like setting. Question will vary from such subject areas as: chemistry, biology, physics, geology, environmental science and general science.
Twelve schools from the surrounding area have reserved their spot in this year's competition, making the expected audience size around 120 -- more than the previous two evemts.
Teams must consist of one person from each grade level 9-12, with a teacher or parent serving as the coach. Home-schooled teams are allowed. Prizes will be awarded and there is no registration fee. Rules are provided upon registration.
