I would like to welcome you to the Robert Morris University School of Business website. Our university was founded in 1921 as the Pittsburgh School of Accountancy and subsequently became the Robert Morris School of Business. Decades later, we became Robert Morris University offering a wide variety of degrees in many fields. Our long-standing heritage in producing high quality accounting and business professionals inspires the faculty, staff and administration of the RMU School of Business to continue this legacy. The most successful alumni of our university studied business while at RMU. We are very proud of the accomplishments of our many alumni.
The School of Business has made great strides in the recent past including the attainment of the highest business accreditation in the world from AACSB International. This accreditation assures that our School of Business delivers overall high quality in business education and is committed to continuous improvement in all its programs and in the accomplishment of its mission. Our faculty, staff and administration are all committed to providing our students with the education and mentoring necessary for success in the global marketplace as professionals and responsible citizens. Our students enjoy a high quality educational experience with a personal touch.
Another key development for the School of Business is our new state-of-the-art Business Building equipped with the latest business technology. This includes the PNC Trading Center, the U.S. Steel Videoconferencing and Technology Resource Center, and the Allegheny Technologies Global Business Library. Our Business Building allows students to have access to and become proficient in the latest technologies as they prepare for careers in business.
