  Department of Management

Human Resource Management (MS)

Organizations face a more complex and competitive environment. Human resource managers must recruit, train and retain the best employees while balancing strategies for succession planning and organization growth with tactical aspects of administering benefits and compensation. Increasingly, Human Resources is taking a strategic leadership role in organizations.

 About the Program

Program Overview
The Master of Science (M.S.) in Human Resource Management degree program at Robert Morris University addresses the need for competent human resource managers with an advanced understanding of employee retention, development, succession planning, compensation, benefits administration, health care, retirement planning, pensions, finance and decision sciences.

The program combines the academic rigors of a master's degree with the practical skills needed to succeed in human resource management. You'll gain a strong theoretical foundation in the field while learning to apply practical application of theoretical concepts to the workplace.

While some human resource master's degree programs focus on functional areas such as labor or industrial relations, RMU's program provides a more strategic focus, preparing graduates for careers as successful HR managers and executives and key members of an organization's leadership team.
