The 15-credit photography minor allows non-majors and Media Arts students who are pursuing other concentrations to acquire additional skills in digital and traditional black and white photography. The course of study begins with a fine arts foundation in photography and transitions to the commercial avenues of photography whether it be photojournalism, documentary, or portrait photography. Students make, edit, and print photographs using either the department's fully equipped B&W darkroom, or one of its large format Epson printers. Digital photographs can be printed up to 40" in width. In addition, the photography program at RMU consistently offers opportunities to take classes abroad.
