Clinical agencies have the right to monitor the health care providers within their institutions with respect to substance or illegal drug use.

Procedure

1. When RMU nursing students attend clinical experiences, the student is subject to the institutional policies and procedures related to substance or illegal drug use.
   
2. If the institution requires drug testing of the students, the policy and procedure must be followed.
   
3. Students must incur the cost of laboratory testing.
