• In any clinical setting, students are not permitted to use photographic devices (including cell phones) to obtain and/ or transmit confidential information (including photos of patients, families, visitors, personnel, faculty and/ or students) in the clinical environment.
• Doing so will be considered a violation of federal HIPAA laws and at minimum breach of professional behaviors required of student nurses.
• This will result in an “Unsatisfactory” clinical experience and possible dismissal from the nursing program.
