Fraternity men and sorority women are some of the most outstanding leaders in student organizations, campus activities, honor societies and athletic teams. Fraternities and sororities help students become strong leaders, gifted professionals and outstanding citizens. Fraternity and sorority life can be a valuable part of the college experience, and you are invited to get involved. Our fraternity and sororitycommunity takes the lead in organizing and providing service to the campus and the community. The Interfraternity and Panhellenic Councils govern the fraternity and sorority community; each chapter provides leadership for its respective council. The groups oversee the educational, service and membership recruitment activities of the organizations. At least one campus faculty or staff member is directly involved with each chapter to provide guidance and enrich the experience for all involved.
Each spring the chapters host a Greek Week program, which is comprised of athletic, social, philanthropic and educational activities. Fraternity and sorority life is a responsibility of the Office of Student Life.
RMU also hosts a chapter of the Order of Omega, a national honor society recognizing students who have attained a high level of leadership within the fraternity and sorority community while maintaining high academic standards.
