Thank you for visiting the Intramurals and Club Sports section of our website. Here you will be able to find all of the information you can need on our intramural program and club sports teams. Intramurals and club sports have over 2,500 participants per year and are among the fastest growing activities on campus.
Intramurals offer students the opportunity to remain active and competitive in a variety of sports ranging from basketball and flag football to ping pong and billiards. Traditionally, we offer two team sport seasons in the fall and spring semesters. We also hold a variety of recreation tournaments and sports related contests during each semester.
With over 250 club sport participants, club sports remains as one of the university’s fastest growing areas. Robert Morris offers 18 club sports, many of which have achieved national recognition. Bowling, Men’s Volleyball, Golf, Men’s ACHA D-I and D-III Ice Hockey, and Synchronized Skating have all competed in national championship tournaments, including ACHA D-III Ice Hockey’s 2002 ACHA Division III National Championship. In 2009, we will begin the first collegiate level short track speed skating program in the country. Club sports will continue to be strength for Robert Morris University in the area of student participation.
There is an opportunity of everyone to participate in intramurals and club sports at RMU. If there is a program that is not offered currently and you have the interest in starting it here on campus, we can help you make it happen. Intramurals and club sports at the RMU strive to be a place that upholds one of the university’s core values that individuals matter. I hope that individual will be you.
Sincerely,
Garth Ericson
