Financial Aid

If you have been selected for a process called Verification, please follow the steps to complete the necessary tasks.

  1. Return the completed verification worksheet that was sent to you by your Robert Morris University financial aid counselor.
  2. Please utilize the IRS Data Retrieval Tool on the FAFSA.  Click here for instructions on how to complete that.  This must be completed for both the student and the parent (if parent information was required).  You must resubmit the FAFSA after this step.  If you are not eligible to use the IRS Data Retrieval Tool you will need to order you Tax Return Transcript directly from the IRS website or call 800-829-1040. (IRS 1040 forms will not be accepted).
  3. If you did not file or were not required to file a federal tax return, please send copies of your W-2s with the verification worksheet.

Please note:  When all documents are received by the school, it may take up to two weeks for verification to be completed.  Your Federal financial aid will not be sent to us until your verification is completed.  If you have further questions, please contact your financial aid counselor.
