Information Security & Assurance Degree: Robert Morris University Information Security & Assurance Degree | Robert Morris University

The Master of Science (M.S.) in Information Security and Assurance degree program at Robert Morris University prepares information technology professionals to recognize and combat information systems threats and vulnerabilities. The degree cultivates an appropriate knowledge of computer security, increasing the likelihood that the next generation of IT workers will have the background needed to design and develop systems that are engineered to be reliable and secure.

Through this program, students may also choose to add a concentration in Enterprise Systems. Currently over 70 percent of the world's financial transactions are processed on enterprise systems mainframe computers. Within the next four to eight years over 50 percent of the enterprise systems professionals are projected to be retiring, creating a need for qualified candidates to fill those positions. RMU is collaborating with IBM through the IBM Regional Planning Group to address this need and give our students a competitive advantage in this thriving industry.
