HUMA1011 - Humanities Abroad

Spring 2018

This class will serve as an introduction to the fine arts as applied to the country or region specific to the study abroad. The students will learn formal? and? contextual qualities of art? ?and ?understand ?the reception? or role? of art in society. We will explore the characteristics, style, classification, form, and content of art through critical analysis and relationship to historical events? of that country or region?. The student will gain the tools necessary to evaluate art and will then be able to apply these tools, including a critical approach, to other areas and subjects outside of this course. The trip takes place May 7-May 21, 2018.
