Course Description

This course explores the development of English phonetic, phonological, syntactic, semantic, and graphic systems. Special attention is given to Old and Middle English and to literary texts exemplifying the languages of these periods, such as Beowulf and Chaucer's Canterbury Tales.

Prerequisites: COSK2220 and any ELIT course
