COMM2008-A Music In Irish Society (Spring 2015)

Course Details

Drawing together concepts from psychology, sociology and sociolinguistics, this class will develop a theory of music's active role in the construction of Irish social life and rganization in modern Irish culture. In addition, we will examine the similarities and differences between American and Irish music. This course is a study abroad trip to Northern Ireland from May 10-24, 2015, and will include several meeting times in the 2nd 8 week session during March, April, and May. The cost of any travel expenses are in addition to tuition.
