Course Description

This course is the capstone course. The students will learn and apply the concepts and processes of strategic human resource management using case methodology. Emphasis is on the fit between organizational strategy and human resource management as well as the role of the human resource function in the overall organizational planning process. Students will examine the purpose of the organization from the employee perspective - what do individuals seek from their work; how is this integrated into contribution to the organization; and, the role of succession planning in growth and development for the employee as well as for the employer. The course includes a review of current and long-range business strategies and how to successfully align accountabilities to such strategies.

Prerequisites: HRMG6150, HRMG6200 and HRMG6500
