Course Details

The course prepares students to write and report in a converged media world with an emphasis on constructing short- and long-form multimedia reports in an international environment. The course considers issues such as accuracy, credibility, ethics, research and sourcing. Assignments will simulate professional media activities and build on information gathering techniques and news writing/reporting skills learned in other classes. Students who register for the course are required to attend class and go on the 2017 study abroad program to Canada May 7-May 20, 2017.
