Living Learning Community

Living Learning Communities, or LLCs, offer RMU students the opportunity to enhance their path towards achieving their personal and professional goals. Through the LLC enhanced residential experience, RMU students elect to live in a themed community of fellow students. LLC students will be immersed in opportunities to better themselves, connect with peers, participate in intentional events and programs, and interact with dedicated student and staff members working to make the community a success.

While students are given the opportunity to be part of a variety of enriching experiences as a LLC resident, each student is asked to elect to join one of our four LLCs. While there are certain benefits to joining each community, every LLC student will have the opportunity to:

  • Work on a yearlong project with fellow members of their community.
  • Live in a highly supportive environment of faculty, staff, and upper-class students.
  • Obtain skills that will prepare them for their personal and professional lives.
  • Make friends with peers who have similar interests.
  • Become involved on campus in clubs and student organizations.
  • All students interested in joining one of RMU’s Living Learning Communities should complete the Living Learning Community Application by using this link:

Students must also make their Living Learning Community selection while completing their housing contract. Not all students are required to live in a LLC but many students choose to select into this enhanced residential experience.
