Shannon Glantz '12 began building her career even before she graduated with a degree in sport management from RMU.
While still a student, she landed an internship with the Pittsburgh Steelers and a summer job at a global marketing firm. Meanwhile she found time to serve as president of RMU's chapter of the American Marketing Association, vice-president of professional development for RMU's Sport Management Association, and a member of the American Humanics Student Association.
Shannon received RMU's Renaissance Award and was named the RMU Outstanding Sport Management Student of the Year for 2010-11. She also received RMU's Woman of Achievement Award 2010-11, and the David Synowka Endowed Sport Management Scholarship.
In September 2012, Shannon was named program director of Pro Martial Arts in Bridgeville, where she is responsible for growing the census of the school both internally and externally, recruiting and registering new students, upgrading and retaining students, acquiring corporate partnerships, preparing marketing material, and working within the community to prepare events and schedule meetings and presentations.
Says Shannon, "You better believe I'm empowered."
