- RMU has resumed the JED Campus initiative, made possible by a donation from the Citrone 33 Foundation in 2019, after a two-year hiatus due to COVID-19. JED Campus is designed to guide universities through a collaborative process of comprehensive systems and program/policy development to build upon existing student mental health, substance abuse, and suicide prevention efforts. RMU’s JED Campus committee, a multidisciplinary team of faculty, staff, and student representatives, is co-chaired by Ryann Burick, counselor-in-residence and Anthony Moretti, associate professor of communication and interim head of the Department of Communication and Organizational Leadership. The JED Campus committee is working toward achieving the objectives outlined in JED's strategic plan with an overall goal of ensuring that emotional wellbeing and the prevention of suicide and substance abuse is a campus-wide endeavor. For more information about JED Campus, please visit their website at www.jedcampus.org. To learn more about RMU’s partnership with JED, please email Ryann Burick or Anthony Moretti.
