Infant and Toddler
The 12-credit RMU Infant/Toddler Certificate consists of four 3-credit courses, which align with the Core Knowledge Competencies (CKC) that guide infant/toddler best practices. These 12 credits can also assist students who are interested in working toward their Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, which many preschool and child-care centers require of their staff, and can be applied toward an undergraduate degree at RMU as well.
The coursework concludes with a capstone experience, in which students apply and synthesize the information and demonstrate mastery through the completion of 120 hours of direct work with infants and toddlers in a center-based setting.
RMU is approved for Pennsylvania Child Care Association (PACCA) T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood Pennsylvania Scholarships.
