FLEAP to South Africa

This exciting summer faculty-led program took place from May 12th – 24th, 2019, in Johannesburg and Cape Town, South Africa. As an emerging market with both continental and global influence, South Africa offered students the unique opportunity to witness and learn firsthand about health and innovation systems within one of the largest African economies. The environment of South Africa’s health and entrepreneurial activities to create a more inclusive society provides an intellectually stimulating environment for this study abroad program.

There were six healthcare students:  two Health Services Administration and four nursing.  In addition, there were seven entrepreneurial business students.  This educational experience combined these two groups of students for activities that included both healthcare and innovation.  In addition, there were separate activities each group participated in.

All the students shared that the experience was life changing and a trip of a life time!!!  Looking forward to future trips to South Africa.
