She has worked at the university for 19 years, starting as a part-time secretary.

Home: Kennedy Township

Proudest Achievement: “Reinventing myself from wife and mother of five to obtaining my academic degrees and a career within the academic environment.”

Best RMU Experience: “When my youngest son, Anthony, received his Doctor of Science degree a few years ago, we became the first mother and son to both have a D.Sc. from RMU.” (Connie was also the first RMU employee to be accepted into the program. At the time, she was working in tech support for the IT department.)

Last RMU Event Attended: Rooney International Scholars reception last month for Tommy Fegan, Irish historian and musician

Why She Stays Connected: “As an alumna, I feel that Robert Morris University gave me an opportunity to build a life for myself. So I am grateful to the university, and I want to give back to the university so that it can give more people the same opportunities to build a life for themselves as it gave me.”
