ENGR2012-A Renewable Resources (Spring 2014)

Course Details

This course provides a comprehensive overview of renewable energy technologies including: biofuels, geothermal energy, hydroelectric power, hydrogen fuel cells, solar energy (active and passive), tidal power, and wind energy. The types of energy and potential uses from each energy source will be covered. The economic, social, and environmental impact of each technology will be discussed. As part of this course, students may elect to study abroad in Germany from May 14-28.The study abroad trip will visit four German cities while exploring renewable energy sites as well as learning about German culture along our travels. Costs for airfare, housing, etc. are in addition to tuition. Course Description

The economic, social, and environmental impact of each technology will also be considered.
