This final role management practicum experience provides the student with an opportunity to implement the full range of advance practice and assume responsibility as a primary care practitioner for individuals and families across the life span under the supervision of an established nurse practitioner and/or physician preceptor. During this intensive practicum the student is expected to practice as a nurse practitioner, assuming increasing responsibility for diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating therapeutic processes and for documenting outcomes of conditions commonly encountered in primary care. Students are expected to practice evidence-based practice.
