Course Description

This course provides a comprehensive introduction to the concepts, techniques and applications of business intelligence (BI). In this course, students are introduced to Data Warehousing architectures and the technical concerns involved: hardware and software issues, databases, data cubes, OLAP, ROLAP, and MOLAP. An overview of current analytics tools and concepts is also provided, including data/text/Web mining methods for trend and sentiment analysis, Big Data, Business Performance Management (BPM), and other analytical components and technologies used to develop intelligent systems for decision support.
