Course Description

In recent decades supply chains have become increasingly complex, and supply chain management has become increasingly important to business performance. The goal of this course is to familiarize students with the discipline of supply chain management, which enables firms to better coordinate information and material flows relevant to sourcing, operations, distribution, and integration processes that occur along a supply chain. Students will be exposed to both conceptual and quantitative models, and will practice applying them to realistic cases. It is expected that by the end of the course students will be able to apply knowledge and techniques learned in the course to diagnose problems and recommend solutions related to a variety of challenges that occur in supply chains.

Prerequisite: STAT2110 or MGMT2100
