  • Professor, Robert Morris University, Media Arts. Professor, The Art Institute of Pittsburgh, Graphic Design, Advertising Founded in 1996, Doris Short Design develops dynamic brands, brand strategy, and brand communication tools for clients around the world. From consumer packaging, corporate identity systems to print collateral, we approach all projects as opportunities to build compelling brands. Doris Short Design, though physically located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, celebrates being a part of the global marketspace. Doris brings more than 20 years of experience in management, business, art and strategic design. Some of her clients include Hewlett Packard, GlaxoSmithKline, Robert Morris University, and Palomar College. She is also a graphic design teacher at Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh and The Art Institute of Pittsburgh. Doris has based a lot of her inspiration and energy behind her success working for leading independent companies in United States, Europe, and in India. Prior to working in The United States, Doris worked in her native Copenhagen, Denmark, with companies such as H&M and Esprit. In addition, Doris is the President of AIGA Pittsburgh, the largest professional association for design. As President Doris is generally involved in all of AIGA Pittsburgh?s activities, providing major contributions in strategy, rallying the chapter?s volunteer base, providing a public face to the chapter, leading new initiatives to increase the value of membership, and advocating the value of design. Doris earned a degree in fashion and a minor in business in Copenhagen, Denmark. She also holds a degree in Graphic Design from The Art Institute and a minor in Graphic Communications.
