CI434 - Computer Simulation

Fall 1997

This course provides the student with a background in the development and validation of simulation models and the application of those models to assist management personnel in organizations with problem solving and decision making. Emphasis is placed on decision making using simulation models that include graphical presentation and animation. The student uses a current simulation language, such as SIMAN, to create models and experiments and interpret their results. An animation tool, such as CINEMA, is used for presentation and animation of dynamic simulation models. Class discussions address the criteria for selecting appropriate models and simulation languages.
Prerequisite -- Any 300-level CI course and QS311.
