EC430 - Economic Development

This course places emphasis on the growth of national and per-capita income in both advanced and under-developed economies. Techniques of measurement and theories of economic growth are surveyed through use of selected statistical and institutional data. Particular attention is paid to the relative influence of resource endowments, labor, capital formation, technology, management, and transportation within various cultural and political settings.
Prerequisite -- EC101.
