CI468 - Telecomm For Info Professional

This course provides the student with the background necessary to evaluate requirements, make recommendations as to the selection of hardware and software to support telecommunication systems, and to develop an implementation plan for installation of a system of a given office environment. Primary emphasis is on identifying and evaluating applications and benefits for the following telecommunication systems. Four factors, which occur individually and/or in combination, pace the use of elecommunications as a business and social resource: competition, speed of transmission, access tools, and interoperability. These factors will be explored in detail.
