COIS6030 - Theories Of Comm and Info I
Fall 2012 Theories of Communication and Information I provides frameworks for understanding human communication and the science of information and systems analysis. Emphasis is on the scope and history of the field of communication, as well as on principles of information science and systems theory. This course includes discussion of the nature and roles of communications and information professionals, the variety of approaches to understanding language and communication, the relationship of human and technological modes of communication, and the relationship of communication and information science. 3 Credits |
