EDUC6170 - The Reflective Learner
Fall 2012 concentrates on the general field of metacognition, with special attention being given to research on strategies of reflection that work and aspects of action research that will enable the participant to apply, monitor and document strategies in classroom settings. Research of the literature, reading provided by the instructor, interviews, and classroom discussions and activities are he key learning aspects of this class. Since the course is offered near the end of the graduate curriculum for instructional leadership, participants are expected to demonstrate considerable independence, synthesizing skills and self-direction. You are also expected to demonstrate aspects of the reflective learner in your journals and input in classroom discussions. 3 Credits |
