LTHC3500 - Interdisciplny Approach To Ltc

This course discusses the interdisciplinary team approach to quality management in long-term care facilities. Focus is on interdepartmental services and the necessary interrrelationships to insure quality patient care. Discusses methods to establish and maintain the requisite relationships. Includes a review of policies and procedures involved in the provision of therapeutic care as well as nutrition, meal planning, and pharmacy services within the care plan of the resident. Emphasizes the principles of identified individual resident needs and suggests systems to facilitate the integration of various disciplines into the residents' care.
