- RMU Sentry Media brought a Mid-Atlantic student Emmy back to campus last week. Gage Goudling, a communication major with a concentration in journalism, who is also minoring in both public relations and organizational leadership, took first place for his talent reel. Goulding is also a full-time multimedia journalist with WTOV in Steubenville, Ohio. RMU Sentry Media was also nominated in the news story category and came in second place.
- Honors student Alina Chemini submitted an article for consideration to the Northeast Regional Honors Council Journal, Illuminate. The paper based on her honors thesis, "A Usability Study on the BodyExplorer Virtual Learning System" was accepted and will appear online and in print in early November in time for the National Collegiate Honors Council annual conference. Chemini is a master's student in the engineering management program and works for the RISE Center. Her thesis advisor was former RMU professor Suzan Kardong-Edgren.
- You did it! RMU's second annual Day of Giving on October 1 was a smash hit, with 1,205 donors, exceeding this year's goal of 1,001 donors. That means legendary RMU groundskeeper John Tucci will become President for a Day. Details on that to come.
