• RMU has announced a new, expanded RMU Military Service Award that will cover all tuition and fees for any undergraduate programs of study for veterans, service members, or their spouses or dependents using the Post-9/11 GI Bill, regardless of their benefit coverage level. The new award enables the vast majority of veterans to earn a bachelor’s degree at no out-of-pocket cost. The university also has announced an additional 25 percent tuition discount on top of federal benefits for veterans enrolled in any master’s degree program. Read more here.

• Peter Y. Wu, professor and head of the Department of Computer and Information Systems was inducted as the 2021 Fellow at the annual ISCAP-EDSIG Academic Conference. At each annual conference, Fellows are inducted in honor of their sustained, long-term, meaningful and effective support of EDSIG in its ongoing mission to improve IS Education, mentor IS students, and foster the careers of IS faculty. • The Center for Innovation and Outreach would like to extend a special invitation to attend our ln-person Innovation Speaker Series with lunch provided by the CIO on Thursday, November 18. Please respond to this short Google form to RSVP. If you cannot make the event there will be a recorded version made available afterwards. "Innovation & Innovative Thinking: Developing Global Solutions for the Future" will feature Ambassador Robin Renee Sanders D'10, a member of the RMU Board of Trustees, starting with lunch at 1:30 p.m. The lecture begins at 2 p.m. The lecture will focus on understanding today's global challenges and why innovation and innovative thinking are key to reducing their impact and what are the key 21st century skills linked to these mega trends.
