  • The Moon Township Board of Supervisors recently honored Phi Sigma Kappa fraternity for its community service. Members spent more than 60 hours building hiking trails in Robin Hill Park.

Personal Mention

  • Betsy Charles, director of bands at RMU, will be the guest conductor for the Pittsburgh Civic Orchestra's Holiday Concert. RMU sophomore and band member Kristen Davis will also be performing in the trombone section. The concert is on Saturday, December 21, at 7:30 pm in the Upper St. Clair High School Auditorium.   • President Chris Howard has been elected to the Board of Directors of the American Council on Education (ACE), a higher education association representing 1,700 colleges and universities nationwide. This will be the second term on the ACE board for President Howard. Previously he served on the board from 2014 to 2016. ACE is the only major higher education association to represent all types of U.S. accredited, degree-granting institutions: two-year and four-year, public and private. Learn more here.

Weekend Sports

This weekend RMU men's ice hockey will become the first NCAA hockey program to partner with the American Cancer Society in hosting Hockey Fights Cancer.
