  • Three RMU students were each awarded a $1,000 scholarship from the Three Rivers Information Security Symposium (TRISS). Cyber forensics and information security majors Brandon Nelson and Christopher Cullen, and cybersecurity and digital forensics major Kaden Mahsoob are all members of the Top Secret Colonials, a student organization that has been active in the TRISS annual conference since its inception. This year TRISS awarded $15,000 in scholarship money to students enrolled in technology degrees and all three RMU students to apply received awards.
  • The Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) recently held their Northeast Conference canned food drive and collected 597 cans that were donated to RMU’s Colonial Cupboard. 
  • RMU in the News has been updated with two months' worth of news coverage. Esports, the Ready to Rise fundraising campaign, and the RISE Center were among the RMU programs and initiatives to make headlines this fall.
  • In a vote of Northeast Conference head football coaches, RMU head coach Bernard Clark, Jr., was named the 2019 Northeast Conference Coach of the Year Wednesday, while eight student-athletes earned All-NEC honors. Named to the 2019 All-NEC First Team are junior kicker Nick Bisceglia, senior tight end Matthew Gonzalez, redshirt senior safety Mason Gray and redshirt sophomore running back Alijah Jackson. Earning 2019 All-NEC Second Team plaudits are sophomore linebacker Aniello Buzzacco, junior offensive lineman Trevor Hicks, redshirt senior defensive back Heavon Price and redshirt sophomore offensive lineman Bussy Remaley.   • All are invited to the Corporate Relations and Strategic Initiatives open house on Friday, December 6 from 1-3 p.m. at the Center for Veterans and Military Families.
  • The RMU Island Sports Center's 20th annual Holiday Spectacular takes place this weekend, December 7-8 at the Island Sports Center. The "Enchanted Christmas" ice skating show will feature a magical mix of songs and current pop music, accompanied by some of your favorite princesses, princes, evil queens, toys and adventure characters! Enchanted Christmas will feature skating performances from the RMU Island Sports Center's Figure Skating Academy, Pittsburgh Figure Skating Club, RMU ISC skating school, and a pre-show featuring RMU ISC’s Theatre on Ice and Steel City Blades synchronized skating teams.

  • The Office of Residence Life will host the Almost Midnight Breakfast on Tuesday, December 10 and is looking for 20 volunteers. If your department has any leftover giveaways please feel free to bring them and we'll put them out as a bonus for the students.
