Going Above and Beyond: Dr. Anthony Robins

RMU thrives on the dedication of faculty who work behind the scenes to better the institution, and this year, Dr. Anthony Robins has set a high bar. As the recipient of the President’s Distinguished Service Award, Dr. Robins is recognized for his incredible commitment to both the university and the local community.
On campus, Dr. Robins has become an important voice in university governance. He currently serves as the chair of the Undergraduate University Curriculum Committee (UUCC) and holds a seat on the RMU Faculty Federation (RMUFF) Executive Council. Perhaps most notably, he dedicated an extraordinary amount of time this past year to the RMUFF Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) Negotiations Team, helping navigate complex discussions with a focus on the university’s future. Colleagues describe him as someone who is always ready to say "yes" when the university needs a leader.
His impact, however, reaches far beyond the Moon Township campus. Dr. Robins was recently honored as the Educator of the Year by the NAACP Coraopolis Branch, a testament to his influence in the region. By balancing high-level administrative service at RMU with meaningful community advocacy, Dr. Robins embodies the spirit of a faculty member who leads by example.
