Animation

Our 12-credit university certificate in animation aims to equip students with essential skills in animation storytelling, techniques, and applications. Through hands-on projects and industry-relevant coursework, participants will develop a strong foundation in concept development, 2D and 3D animation, realtime and interactive applications. This program prepares graduates to be able to both deliver and evaluate animation as applied professionally to advertising, branding, design, education, engineering, entertainment, medicine, education, security, simulation and scientific research.

Upon Completion of the Animation Certificate, students should be able to:

• Analyze and critique animated works over time, and across varied applications, formats and evolving industries today
• Demonstrate technical proficiency in animation software and tools, mastering both 2D and 3D animation techniques for effective visual storytelling.
• Deliver compelling narratives and characters, applying storytelling principles to create high-value animated content.
• Execute effective animation project management, including managing timelines, collaborating with teams, and integrating feedback to refine their work.
