This 12-credit certificate program provides students with the opportunity to learn andunderstand how strategic communication fits into many different professional organizational contexts.Students will learn the complexities of the ways in which strategic communication encompasses both internal and external organizational communication.

This certificate is particularly useful to students who will be pursuing careers in which they will need to communicate in written, oral, and/or digital form, both internally within their organizations as well as externally to clients and stakeholders. The certificate will also be beneficial to students in majors that are not related to communication, who may anticipate a need to communicate their work both within and outside the context of their organizations. These students may wish to develop their skills in the areas of written, oral, and digital communication.
