This course helps the student to become familiar with the basic mathematical principles of Interest Theory and Financial Mathematics. Mathematical fundamentals of present values accumulated values net present values effective and nominal interest and discount rates annuities bonds spot/forward rates asset/liability matching duration convexity andimmunization are presented. This material covers all course objectives of the Society of Actuaries? Financial Mathematics Examination. This course is also recognized as a UEC course by the Society of Actuaries.3 Credits
