This course helps the student become familiar with the basic mathematical principles underlying various advancedcontingent insurance arrangements. Concepts considered include multiple state models multiple life functions and multipledecrement models. Other advanced topics related to the modeling of survival models and life-contingent instruments mayalso be explored. Proficiency in spreadsheet software is necessary. The course is designed to help students prepare for theAdvanced Long-term Actuarial Mathematics (ALTAM) exam offered by the Society of Actuaries.Pre-Req: ASCI 4100
