This course is a survey of topics in health insurance as they relate to the practice of actuarial science. Current health insurance products are discussed as are trends in the health care industry. Actuarial techniques are applied to evaluate and quantify the risks in various types of health insurance. In this course students will learn to assess the adequacy of health insurance premiums.
