This course examines how the criminal justice system is altered when the suspect is a juvenile offender. Different theories of juvenile delinquency are discussed as are the impact of drugs gangs and other social institutions on the individual and larger trends in delinquent behavior. Differences in policing prosecution punishment and prevention for juveniles compared with adults are examined.
