Introduction to computer science and the basic concepts of computer programming and algorithmicproblem solving. Students will explore the basic concepts of algorithmic problem-solving. After completing the course students willbe able to design algorithmic solutions to problems and have a basic understanding of several areas of computational thinking suchas identifying and defining problems and formulating stepwise solutions using tools like pseudocode and flowcharts. The course isthe first course in computing for computer science and related majors and it is also appropriate for students in other majors who wantto apply computing experience to their disciplines.
