This course examines the human social and theoretical dimensions of cyber-criminal behavior. Emphasizing criminological theories and societal impacts it explores the motivations behind digital deviance and the transformation of traditional crime in the digital age. Topics include the study of hacker subcultures victimization in online environments the spread of hate and anarchy on the internet and the influence of digital laws and law enforcement responses. The course provides students with a framework to analyze cyber-crime not only as a technical issue but as a complex social phenomenon.3 Credits
